If you like Paloma, then consider this Spicy Grapefruit Margarita to be the spicier version of a Paloma. Ridiculously delicious. The freshly squeezed grapefruits make this cocktail unbelievably good. But yes, the star of this Spicy Grapefruit Margarita Cocktail is not the tequila.., it’s the Jalapenos.

What I did was that I used both the canned jalapenos and the fresh ones. I added the juice of the canned ones into the cocktail shaker and mixed it up with fresh jalapenos, silver tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, agave and some lemon juice.

I liked mine a little bit of a stronger kick, so, I didn’t hold myself off on adding the tequila nor the jalapenos.

If you can’t handle the heat from jalapenos, you can totally hold the jalapeno off but trust me when I say this.., a little bit of spiciness actually brings out the flavors of this sweet and spicy margarita.

Summer tastes better with fruity and not so sweet cocktails, no? For me, this summer has been awesome. Tried out a bunch summery and refreshing cocktails like, Watermelon Vodka Cocktail which is again a very uplifting cocktail.

I’m scrappy, weird and goofy. I’m a snob when it comes to a LOT of things.., Mainly – coffee, wine and chocolates. I laugh loud and yell louder. I run fast, but walk slow. I love walking long walks with a hot mug of coffee held tight between my hands. I have lonely eyes and a kind heart. I forgive but rarely forget. I remember the silliest of things and forget important matters. I love to run, read, cook and entertain. I draw inspirations from anything and everything aesthetic. There are numerous people who have and still continue to enrich my life in many good ways. I will remain indebted to them – Always. My dad is my biggest fan when it comes to cooking. I could see his eyes light up every time I serve something. My mom’s agility and affectionate nature that reflects on her food is something I’m still trying to master. Travel fascinates me amongst other things. Leave me in Venice and I would get lost in its timeless beauty – The canals. The piazzas. The art. The espresso. Leave me in NYC and I would tirelessly walk the length and breadth of the city (after all, There is always something open 24 hours a day). Through this blog, I am hoping to bring in my passion and love for a few things – Cooking, Travel, Kids, Coffee, Clothes and in the interim learn more myself. Hope I am able to do justice to my PASSION.

  2. My hubby is currently doing a nutrition challenge with our local Crossfit box and he had to give up alcohol for 30 days. While I love that his eating habits are on point. . .I do miss the occasional cocktail. And margaritas happen to be my favorite drink to unwind with on the weekend. Such an interesting twist to use grapefruit. Once this nutrition challenge wraps up. . .I’d be interested in giving it a try.

  3. Yessssss. I am a margarita fanatic but I only recently tried a spicy version. I was shocked at how much I loved it, especially since I don’t do spicy. I love grapefruit too so I cannot wait to try this out!
